Suitable motor for hybrid bike

I need a suitable motor to develop a hybrid bike.The bike has to run on both fuel and electricity.The drive from motor is given on the rear wheel.i need a suitable motor.plese help!

Will the engine run a generator that will recharge the batteries or will it mechanically drive the wheel in conjunction with the electric motor?

Battery is also charged while running.Depending upon the motor we have to select number of batteries.Both engine mode and electric mode can work independently.

What is the top speed that you need the bike to be able to travel at under the electric motors power only?

Mainly focussed for city drives. Atmost range of 40kmph.
Also seeking to run at high speed
